A luxury holiday home by Peel Forest in South Canterbury for families and groups of friends. Sleeps 10 comfortably, plus infants in porta cots.
The generous space is 184 m² on a single level with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, open living area, a large kitchen, media room, outdoor fire, bath, hot tub, covered BBQ and outdoor dining area.
The house comes with a remote concierge and is fully provisioned for your stay with food, firewood, other essentials, and luxuries. One curated experience is included in every stay.
Whakahā sits on 12 hectares, with private river access and views of Mt Hutt and Mt Peel. You're a 15-minute walk from Peel Forest.

Every stay at Whakahā includes one curated experience for your group. Choose your experience once you confirm your booking, and your concierge will arrange everything. No research, no separate bookings, no logistics to sort out. Simply let us know what you'd enjoy, and we'll take care of the rest.

A hosted meal or cooking experience with a local chef at the property.
A nature experience
Whitewater rafting on the Rangitata River, fly fishing in the high country, a guided horse trek, or a visit to a local station.

A private photographer can come to Whakahā and spend a morning with your group together.
Your concierge can arrange almost anything
Your remote concierge is on call before and during your stay to book your curated local experience. They will have a hot meal waiting when you arrive and ensure daily housekeeping works for your group.
They can also help you organise additional activities, arrange delivery of groceries or catered meals, and book helicopter transfers or private vehicle hire. Simply speak to your concierge and they'll let you know what's possible and what it costs.

Pricing
Whakahā is priced as an exclusive use property. The full house is yours for the duration of your stay, regardless of how many of the beds you fill.
Standard rate:
$4,800 per night. 3-night minimum stay.
Peak rate at Christmas and Easter: $6,240 per night, with a 5–6-night minimum stay depending on the period.
A 50% deposit secures your dates, with the balance due 30 days before arrival. All payments are non-refundable. No security deposit is required.

Additional Information
There is a gravel access road and free parking on the property.
Well-behaved, non-shedding dogs are welcome inside. There's an outdoor kennel for other dogs. Horses may be grazed on the property — please let us know if you plan to bring your own horse.
No parties with people who aren't staying at the house. However, you can play music as loud as you like. There are no neighbours.
